Aluminum Fluoride AlF3
Aluminum Fluoride (AlF3) is an inorganic fluoride salt supplied as a white crystalline powder. It is primarily used as a fluxing and electrolyte-conditioning agent in the aluminum smelting process to lower the melting point and improve electrolyte performance. Beyond metallurgy, AlF3 is used as an additive in glass and ceramics to modify melting behavior and optical properties, in enamel and glaze formulations, in certain chemical synthesis routes as a fluoride source, and in specialty industrial applications where fluoride functionality is required. Industrial and high-purity grades are available to meet
